NIRI Selects Kelsey Henderson of High Country Search Group to Lead National Search for Next Chief Executive Officer

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 31, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- NIRI: The Association for Investor Relations today announced the launch of a national search for its next Chief Executive Officer. Building on NIRI’s strong foundation, longstanding service to the investor relations profession, and commitment to its members and chapters, the organization is seeking a leader to guide its continued growth and advance its mission. NIRI has engaged Kelsey Henderson of High Country Search Group to lead the process.

The search follows the previously announced retirement of Matt Brusch, NIRI’s President and CEO, after two decades of leadership and service to the organization and the investor relations profession. Brusch will continue to lead NIRI through the successful hire of the Association's next CEO.

As NIRI looks ahead, the search represents an opportunity to build on the organization’s momentum and longstanding record of service to the IR community. The next CEO will be charged with leading a strategic transformation to grow NIRI’s membership, enhance the value it delivers to members, deepen its connection with chapters, and pursue new opportunities to elevate NIRI’s leadership within the evolving investor relations profession.

“For over 50 years, NIRI has been a respected, member-focused organization with a proud history of serving the investor relations profession, and this is an important opportunity to think boldly about our future,” said Remy Bernarda, Chair of the NIRI Board of Directors. “As we begin this search, we are focused on identifying a leader who will bring vision, energy, and a growth mindset to create even greater value for our members, chapters, service providers, and the broader IR community. Our next CEO will collaborate closely with the NIRI staff, volunteers and Board of Directors to shape the transformation of NIRI and expand the impact we have on our profession.”

The national search is underway, and the NIRI Board of Directors is committed to conducting a thoughtful, inclusive process to identify a leader who can build on NIRI’s strong foundation and guide its continued growth.

Ms. Henderson, Practice Manager of Corporate Affairs & Investor Relations at High Country Search Group, brings executive search experience across investor relations, corporate affairs, and association and nonprofit leadership. She also brings a longstanding connection to NIRI and a firsthand understanding of the investor relations profession, its practitioners, and the evolving demands facing public companies and their stakeholders.
